I must speed things up and I need to find a method

Cleveland Browns receiver Jordan Cameron says it's the attention of defensive teams from the opposing side, not issues with quarterback Jason Campbell that has slowed his speed in recent weeks as per Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

"I must speed things up and I need to find a method to become open",'' said Cameron. "I need to try to join the team and play more. I have to take on the role of a player and do everything I can to support this team. That's my goal."

The third-year receiver had a stellar 2013 but his numbers have started to fall significantly in the past two weeks. New quarterback Jason Campbell targeting Cameron just 18 times in the last three games. Cameron is a 45-yard receiver who recorded 45 catches and 515 yards and scored six touchdowns over the first seven games of the season, has managed just seven catches for just 33 yards the past two games.

Cameron, who had been emerging as a big-play threat for the offensively-challenged Browns this season, says that defenses are rolling coverage his way and are now limiting his effectiveness downfield. The young receiver says that it's his job to try harder to beat the coverage and isn't worried about chemistry with his team's quarterback.
